Batik quilt fabrics are a beautiful way to enhance your quilting projects.  With a wide variety of colors and designs these quilting fabrics are favorite of designers young and old.

Batik is a technique of coloring fabric using a wax resist dying. There are four common ways to produce these quilt fabrics.

• Block Printing Batik
• Screen Printing
  
• Hand Drawn Batik
  
• Tie Dye Batik

One sub-genre of batiks are ombre batiks. Ombre, from the French word meaning shaded, is the gradual blending of one color into another, often from light to dark, over the width of the fabric.
