Free mask pattern to help fill the gap . . .
Danny Meegan
As you know there is an incredible shortage of masks to keep those healthcare workers on the front lines, the most vulnerable among us, and those who continue to serve in grocery stores, gas stations, and similar jobs safe.
We at StoryQuilts.com have been working tirelessly to make as many masks using a free pattern by Sew It Online. We found it to be quick, easy and they work well.
We actually are wearing these masks as we provide meals through our church to the community. (Drive up and delivery only of course)
Sew It Online states that it is best to use cotton fabric, and they refer to the CDC concerning when and where these masks are most helpful.
Here is a link to download the pattern to your computer.

Where should you send them?
Story Quilts and our growing army of sewers have sent one shipment to a respiratory unit at a San Antonio hospital. We have also provided masks for a local clinic, a shipment is going to a Dr's office in Austin that has reached out to us, and we have provided several of the checkers at our local grocery store with some.
We encourage you to check with your local hospitals, clinics, stores, and possibly those who are ministering in your community as well. If you would like you can send them to us and we will distribute them for you.
Please stay at home as much as possible, practice social distancing - wash, wash, wash those hands. Your health and well being is important to us, so let us know how you are coping in the comments.
We know that many of our customers and visitors are in the medical and other fields that are on the front lines of this crisis. We can't image what your life is like now, but please know we are praying for you.
The same is true for the families that have been touched by this virus directly, we ask for God's comfort and strength to be with you at this time.
Sew Sincerely,
Danny and the Story Quilts Crew
